Whilst the focus of activities in the past was on multi-purpose and mini-bulker shipping, the company expanded its business to container ships in 1995 with the MS Veritas-H.

Shipowner Captain Peter Hinsch, who himself was at sea for more than 10 years, has been continuing the family tradition since he took over the business from his father Captain Alfred Hinsch in 2004.

The shipping company currently operates several ships in international shipping and with its extensive experience is in a position to manage a broad range of ship types professionally and safely.

Reederei Hinsch renovates its fleet at regular intervals and maintains the ships at the cutting edge of technology. The firm has had an exclusive partnership with PragerShip Maritime since 2007 for the purchase and sale of ships.
